Almighty God, who sent your Holy Spirit to be the light and life of your church; open our hearts to the riches of your grace, that we may bring forth the fruits of the Spirit in love and joy and peace; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord. We bring before God our families, our friends and ask that all those on holiday this season will be refreshed and renewed. We ask for blessing on all the initiatives taking place locally in the East Neuk of Fife. Amen

Let your merciful ears, O Lord, be open to the prayers of your humble servants; and that they may obtain their petitions. Make them to ask such things as shall please you; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord. We hold before God those who are ill, those who are victims of violence, those who feel unloved. May the love of God reach into their hearts and bring them hope and strength and healing in Jesus Name. Amen
15/8/10
Almighty God, who looked upon the lowliness of the Blessed Virgin Mary and chose her to be the mother of your only Son; grant that we who are redeemed by his blood may share with her in the glory of your eternal kingdom; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord. We pray for our children as they grow up in our complex world. We remember our own parents and give thanks for all that they have given us and taught us. We remember with gratitude those who have encouraged us on our life’s journey. Amen
22/8/10
Almighty and everlasting God, you are always more ready to hear than we to pray and to give more than either we desire or deserve; pour down upon us the abundance of your mercy, forgiving those things of which our conscience is afraid and giving us those good things which we are not worthy to ask but through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ your Son our Lord. We bring before God our heavy hearts as we pray for the war torn areas of our world. We pray for peace, for an end to violence and for safe keeping of our service men and women as they fulfil their duty. We remember the families and loved ones of those who have died in active service. Amen

Almighty God who called your Church to bear witness that you were in Christ reconciling the world to yourself; help us to proclaim the good news of your love, that all who hear it may be drawn to you; through him who was lifted up upon the cross and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. We pray for God’s church in the world. We remember those Christians who are not free to worship and are persecuted for their faith. We ask that God’s love may heal divisions and bring peace. These and all our prayers we ask in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen
